Reading the Numbers
What moves an order inside its price range?
Four things: chip class (entry Ultralight/Classic chips price low, AES-encrypted DESFire chips price high), order volume (bigger orders sit lower in the band), customization (custom molds, sublimation, laser engraving, unique numbering add cost), and urgency (rush production compresses schedules at a premium). Because per-unit RFID pricing genuinely varies within each product family. A silicone wristband runs $0.80-$2.50 per unit depending on whether it carries a basic chip with a stock closure or an encrypted DESFire chip with a custom molded closure. A single number would be a guess; the range is real.
What quantity should I enter for a hotel key card estimate?
A practical planning figure is 8-12 cards per room per year. A 200-room hotel entering 2,000 cards will see the realistic annual card budget; a new property stocking launch inventory should also cover pre-opening staff training and OTA-surge check-ins.
Does the estimate include shipping to the Caribbean?
